We were wondering about classmates who have died and we ran across this incredible information about Frank, who died in Chicago in 2007.

Jill Alter Schaeffer contacted Frank's wife and she sent us this photo with this message:

Hello Jill,

I have attached one of the last photos I have of Zack from an opening of a showing of his paintings a couple of months before he died.  He was very proud of the work in that show... which is why it continues to be one of my favs even if it doesn't seem to be the best pic.  It's the spirit of the photo that appeals to me.

Anyway, thank you for remembering him.

If you are on Facebook, please post your photos there.  We will gather them up and repost here, on the Web site, for everyone to enjoy.  That is the preferred way to get your photos to us.

Things to do over the weekend

Look to your right and click on the new "Things to do over the weekend" page if you're looking for something to do.  Here are some examples:

Farmer's Market with a wide variety of food and vendors downtown on Saturday until 3.
 "Taste of the Miami Valley" is happening not just Friday during Urban Nights but all day Saturday as well.  

On Friday, Urban Nights starts at 5 but we're not meeting at SaBai until around 6.  We're supposed to be on the patio, but if it's chilly, look for us inside.

Friday night downtown starts around 6 and goes until whenever.  We will be at SaBai on Jefferson St.  Please see the Friday night information on the right.

Saturday night at Miami Valley Golf Club will start with cocktails and appetizers at 6 followed by dinner at 7.
